These toxic chemicals enter our blood stream and according to a latest research, they disrupt the endocrine system which can cause cancer, infertility, birth defects, impaired immunity and many other ailments’’. She made an appeal to all the students and staff to avoid using single use plastic items like plastic bags, straws, coffee stirrers, soda and water bottles and most food packaging.
